Aughton & Ormskirk – University of the Third Age

The Aughton & Ormskirk University of the Third Age is part of the national network of U3A groups. It is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment. It provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. Skills & experiences are shared in a variety of ways through meetings, social & group activities. There are around 80 activities to choose from to help you get the most out of retirement.

The U3A uses many venues within Aughton, including a number of classes within Aughton Village Hall as well as using facilities outside of the area such as Bowling at the Southport Ocean Palza.

The U3A at Aughton Village Hall

  • Italian – Mondays and Tuesdays at 10am
  • Aerobics – Mondays at 10:30am
  • Yoga – Tuesdays at 12:45pm
  • Latin and the Roman World – Tuesdays at 2:15pm
  • Musical Theatre Group – Tuesdays at 2pm
  • Choir – Wednesday at 10am on the2nd & 4th weeks of the month
  • Tai Chi – Wednesday at 12:30pm
  • Zumba Dancing – Thursday at 12:15
  • Tap Dancing – Thursdays at 13:10
  • U3A Country Dancing – Fridays at 11am
